The Minister of Justice, Yvonne Dausab has warned that it is a criminal offence to intentionally spread fake news, and any offender or offenders are liable to be charged before a court of law. Regulation 15 of the state of emergency makes it clear that any information disseminated with the aim of misleading or causing harm is a criminal offence.
