Sakeus Kafula and his partner Joel Kafula showcased their product known as Biochar at the Agri-4-Youth conference that was recently held in Windhoek. The product is said to retains soil moisture and nutrients. In addition, it allows farmers to save on fertilisers and irrigation costs. With the current drought Namibia faces Kafula says Biochar can be used to mitigate the effects of drought on crops that are water-deprived.
