The Mukusi Cabins lodge at Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region was gutted by fire on Saturday afternoon. It is alleged that the fire started in the kitchen. Guests who were on their way to the dining room saw kitchen staff running when smoke engulfed the premises. The thatched dining hall, kitchen and bar were completely destroyed. The police, town council and the fire department rushed to the scene.
