The Deputy Minister of Industrialisation, Trade and SMEs Development Verna Sinimbo says while small and medium enterprises were heavily impacted by COVID-19, his ministry also views current conditions as an opportunity to innovate and develop the local manufacturing industry. Sinimbo spoke during a handover ceremony of textiles to be used in the production of face masks by a number of identified tailors in the Kavango East Region.
