The usually high spirited Keetmanshoop was noticeably quiet over this festive season. The town, which is usually characterised by loud music and large droves of partying people, was strangely quiet this time around. Popular hang-out spots, like the Van Rhyn Dam and ‘Koes boom’ were empty.
