Kunene Governor has promised strong measures to push for development and address inadequate basic services in his region. Marius Sheya was speaking during the Governors’ gala dinner in Windhoek recently. Sheya is convinced that the lack of basic services and infrastructure contributed to poverty and unemployment rate in the region. He said despite socio-economic challenges in the region, he is highly motivated to tackle them head-on, adding that poverty can be defeated. He invited investors to come and use available natural resources to create industries and job opportunities in the region. Sheya, however, expressed dismay about the mismanagement of State funds by those entrusted to manage them.
