Kunene Region is slowly developing and demand for accommodation facilities in the region is being met. The latest is the opening of a multi-million dollar lodge called Mavinga in Ruacana, headed by a businessman from the area Fabianus Paulus. Mavinga Lodge is strategically located in the mountainous area of Okozongobe village, which is home to the indigenous Himba people, and on the banks of the Kunene River.
