The Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) has approved a five-year management plan for wild horses, which will include the provision of supplementary feeding and water. This is contained in a five-year Management Plan for Horses in the Namib Naukluft Park and the Tsau //Khaeb (Sperrgebeit) National Park. The ministry says this plan is to ensure the survival of the wild horse population, thereby improve tourism development and cultural heritage in the Garub area.
