Global Fund employee, Simataa Simasiku, who fatally shot his boss in a fit of rage made his first appearance in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court today. Simasiku appeared on charges of murder and attempted murder before Magistrate Vanessa Stanley. His case was postponed to 01 March for further investigations and to allow him to seek legal representation. Simasiku shot Sarah Mwilima and Ester Nepolo, both employees at the Global Fund, in broad daylight on Monday afternoon in the City Centre office building. Mwilima died on the spot while Nepolo sustained injuries and was rushed to local private hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He allegedly shot Mwilima and Nepolo over a disagreement regarding his work contract, which was due to come to an end in March, this year.
