Due to the State of Emergency declared by the President and in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Peya Mushelenga issued a directive that residents with arrears and suspended water services must be reconnected with immediate effect. Provision for residents with no access to water supply must also be made with immediate effect, such as placing water tanks at strategic places. The arrangement is temporary until further notice.
