Namibia Bus and Taxi Association (NABTA), has called on Government, business people and the public to donate masks and other sanitary equipment for the use of taxi drivers in Namibia. Namibia has more than 50 000 taxi and bus drivers and most Namibians make use of this mode of transport to commute on a daily basis. Pendapala Nakathingo, deputy chairperson of NABTA, therefore says its drivers are one of the most vulnerable groups and urgently need protection. Companies and people able to assist are encouraged to contact the NABTA offices throughout the country.
