Over 300 000 women die every year worldwide during and after giving birth, while about three million babies do not survive during the first three months. Namibia’s Officer in charge of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Loide Amkongo, raised concern during the celebrations of the International Day of Midwives on Saturday.
