Developed countries pushing for Namibia to burn its confiscated elephant ivory and rhino horn stockpiles can buy them and do so themselves if they so wish. That is Namibia’s stance on the matter. The Ministry of Environment and Tourism says if sold, proceeds from the stockpiles, said to be worth billions of dollars, will be invested back into conservation programmes.
