The Namibia Meteorological Service has issued a warning of potential heavy rains, accompanied by severe lightning, and floods across the north-central regions of Namibia. The floods, as a result of heavy rains during the past few days, are likely to hit parts of Oshana, Ohangwena, Oshikoto, Kavango East and West, Otjozondjupa, Omaheke and the central regions.
