The Deputy Premier and Minister of International Relations Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah survived a car crash on Thursday afternoon. Nandi-Ndaitwah, who was recently elected as Swapo Party Vice-President, was involved in a head on collision on the Tsumeb-Oshivelo road and sustained serious injuries. The Inspector-General of the Namibian Police, Sebastian Ndeitunga confirmed the accident saying Nandi-Ndaitwah was rushed to a Hospital in Tsumeb, while the driver of the other light pick-up died on the spot. Ndeitunga added that Nandi-Ndaitwah was travelling in an official convoy but could not provide details of the accident or about the other passengers involved in the accident.
