The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) is not seeking a bailout from the Government but rather just adequate funding to execute its mandate. This was the sentiment shared by the NBC’s Director General and the broadcaster’s board chairman Sven Thieme. Their reaction follows an interview with the Minister of Finance in a local weekly, where he stated that the broadcaster is not executing its mandate, sustainably.
