The Namibia Central Intelligence Services (NCIS) has appealed last week’s ruling by the Windhoek High Court in the case in which the NCIS sought an interdict to stop the paper from publishing an article that would expose potential corrupt activities. The Patriot newspaper’s owner, Hilda Basson-Namundjebo, confirmed to NBC News that she has received a notice of appeal on Monday afternoon. In a notice of appeal dated 22 June, NCIS is appealing against the whole judgment delivered by Judge Harald Geier last week including the consequential orders granted.
