The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on 11 March arrested the former manager of the Ndonga Linena Irrigation Project, Titus Andreas, on corruption allegations. It is alleged that Andreas embezzled Agricultural Business Development Agency (AGRIBUSDEV) funds of over N$1 million. He is charged with directly or indirectly corruptly using his office/position in a public body to obtain any gratification, whether for the benefit of himself or any other person. Andreas appeared in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on 13 March and he is remanded in custody as no bail was granted. His case has been postponed to 22 April for further investigation.
