New Era Publication Corporation, the parent company of New Era newspaper, has announced the appointment of veteran journalist Christof Maletsky as its chief executive officer (CEO). The company announced on its Facebook page that Maletsky’s five-year term is effective from 1 January 2020. Maketsky replaces Benjamin Jakobs who has been acting in the position following the departure of former CEO, Dr Audrin Mathe. According to his LinkedIn profile, Maletzky started his journalism career at The Namibian newspaper in 1993, where he occupied different leadership roles until 2018.
