The new European Union (EU) ambassador to Namibia, Sinikka Antila has expressed her delegation’s commitment to supporting various initiatives aimed at promoting democracy, human capital development, the promotion of agriculture and combating gender-based violence. At her first media briefing, since assuming her role as head of the EU delegation in Namibia held in Windhoek today, Antila singled out basic education and vocational training, ensuring the full implementation of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) policies and working closely with the private sector as well as promoting good governance as some of her priorities.
