Newly appointed Vice-President, Nangolo Mbumba will be sworn at State House today. President Hage Geingob reshuffled his cabinet last week and appointed Mbumba after accepting the resignation of Dr Nickey Iyambo due to ill-health. He is the second politician to occupy the second highest office in the land following constitutional amendments, making provision for the position of Vice President. The 76-year-old politician held the position of Swapo Secretary-General until November 2017 and was succeeded by Sophia Shaningwa.
