The NUNW has condemned the demolition of shacks in the informal settlements. The country’s informal settlements are filled with workers who make meaningful contributions to the country’s economy. Yet, despite their impact on the nation’s well-being, these vulnerable and poor people are left to become homeless and exposed to the elements.
