Vendors who sell wooden crafts in Okahandja have welcomed a decision by the council to build a new open market at the town. The market, which is expected to cost about N$8 million, is part of development plans the town wants to implement this year. This will include the servicing of land, new houses, recreational facilities, sewerage pipelines, and new roads in Okahandja, which are estimated to cost N$650 million.
