South African music producer Dan Tshanda’s death is a great loss to the Okakarara community. Okakarara constituency councillor, Vetaruhe Kandorozu said the late Tshanda, through his band Splash, not only entertained the community but also added value to the Okakarara Trade Fair. Tshanda reportedly died of heart failure in Johannesburg on Sunday. Kandorozu told Nampa his death is a great loss to Okakarara community. Kandorozu further said they are happy that as a community they had the chance to see him for the last time when he performed at Okakarara in 2016. He said he hopes the remaining members of the band will continue his legacy. The late Tshanda was also the brain behind groups such as Dalom Kids and artists like Patricia Majalisa. His music was loved not only in South Africa but also in neighbouring countries such as Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The family is yet to announce memorial and funeral plans.
