A one-year-old baby from Ondangwa in the Oshana Region is in urgent need of N$17 000 to undergo hydrocephalus treatment. Baby Henock Hamalwa was also born with Spina bifida a birth defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don’t form properly. Hydrocephalus is a surgical insertion of drainage system called a shunt, a medical device that relieves pressure on the brain caused by fluid accumulation. The baby’s unemployed mother Alisa Petrus is calling on good Samaritans to help her financially to purchase the needed device to improve her baby’s health. The surgery will be done at the Oshakati Intermediate Hospital when a shunt is available. Alisa Petrus can be reached on 0812811523 and donations could be deposited into this account: Alisa Petrus Tuukondjele Account: 622 561 97 114 FNB Ondangwa branch
