Many sectors of the Namibian economy have been negatively affected by the economic downturn resulting in a number of towns now promoting local economic activities through organising trade shows. Oshikuku, in the Omusati Region, started the Oshipe Trade Fair last year, following in the footsteps of other towns embarking on such activities to sensitise its community about the economic potential they possess through showcasing their products and services.
