Otjiwarongo has been hard hit by water shortages with the municipality implementing water rations to the residents. In a notice issued on Friday, Otjiwarongo Municipality chief executive officer, Ismael /Howoseb says the shortage was due to NamWater’s main reservoir which is at critically low levels. The level of its small reservoir is currently at 28%.
