Farmers from Otjohorongo in the Erongo Region, whose livestock were driven from a Namibian Defence Force (NDF) farm near Karibib, held a demonstration at Omaruru on Friday. They pleaded with the Head of State to intervene in the dispute between themselves and the NDF, a matter they say arised because of the severe drought. The farmers, who were invited by the President to attend a meeting, along with the NDF to discuss the matter, said they could not attend as the invite came at a short notice.
