The Outjo Town Council has lived up to its promise to rename a street after late NBC radio presenter, Salomon Salath //Hoëseb. A street-naming ceremony, in honour of Salath, as he was affectionately known, will be held during the //Goa !Haob festival in August. Vice President, Nangolo Mbumba visited the town on Friday. He joined local and Kunene regional leadership to celebrate Outjo’s 120 years of existence. The town council will be renaming streets after key individuals who have contributed to the national independence and development of Outjo. Streets will also be named after Mbumba and late Kunene Governor, Angelika Muharukua.
