The Ovaherero community gathered at Omatupa Village in the Okakarara Constituency to mark the seventh Annual Otjihenda Commemoration. This is the site where the German empire waged war against the Hereros led by gallant fighters such as Hijapoo Rijarua. Many were killed and others wounded during one of the fiercest battles in August of 1904.
