A stern warning has been issued to contractors who deliberately defy labour laws. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economics and Public Administration has singled out factors such as recruitment of children into the labour market, exploitation of employees and non- adherance to minimum wage requirements by employers, as ‘unacceptable’.
