Three opposition parties, Popular Democratic Movement (PDM), National Union Democratic Organisation (NUDO) and United Democratic Front (UDF) have distanced themselves from calls by critics of President-elect Hage Geingob, who this weekend called for him to step down. The critics claim the process through which President Geingob was re-elected was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court after the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) used electronic voting machines (EVMs) without a voter-verifiable paper audit trail.
