President Hage Geingob has dismissed claims of SWAPO being a tribal or ethnic-based party or a “Wambo Party” as claimed by some. Speaking at the party’s belated 58th anniversary at Mariental, Geingob said such claims show sheer ignorance, as the ruling party was birthed out of the need to unite and confront a colonial enemy.
