President Hage Geingob says the unanimous endorsement of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is a clear demonstration of confidence in his leadership. Geingob sent a congratulatory message to his counterpart, Ramaphosa was elected unopposed by South Africa’s sixth parliament on Wednesday. He was the only candidate nominated for presidency and the election coincided with the swearing-in of Members of Parliament. President Geingob in a statement said he looked forward to accelerating economic growth and meeting the two nations’ developmental aspirations. President Ramaphosa will be inaugurated on Saturday.
