President Hage Geingob returned home this afternoon from a two day state visit to Botswana. He described the visit as beneficial to both countries, judging from the extensive talks on possible areas of cooperation. Dr Geingob says because the two countries face similar challenges, they ought to align strategies to address them. The possibility of drawing water from the Atlantic ocean was also discussed as well as energy security. Dr Geingob notes that it remains imperative that these possibilities are realized in efforts to fight poverty. He was received at the airport by Vice-President Nicky Iyambo, Prime Minister Saara Kuungongelwa-Amadhila, Defence Minister Penda ya Ndakolo and Youth and Sport Minister, Jerry Ekandja as well as Swapo Secretary General Nangolo Mbumba.
