President Hage Geingob says his decision to remove Dr Bernard Haufiku as Health and Social Services Minister, was done after thorough consultations and not for mere personal reasons. The top government leadership and Dr Haufiku held a meeting on Monday where they discussed various issues facing the Ministry. Former Permanent Secretary in the Health Ministry, Dr Kalumbi Shangula replaces Haufiku as minister. Shangula was sworn in as Member of Parliament Thursday morning and took the oath.
