President Hage Geingob will leave for Kigali, Rwanda this afternoon to attend the 27th African Union Summit. The theme of the summit is; The Year of Human Rights, with particular focus on the rights of women. The meeting will also address critical issues on the free movement of people and goods and regional integration in line with the AU Agenda 2063. The AU electronic passport will also be launched with first recipients being African leaders and Ministers of International Relations and Cooperation. The new Chairperson of the AU Commission will also be elected as the incumbent Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma’s term comes to an end this year
