Previously disadvantaged farmers, who have benefitted from the Agribanks loan scheme to buy farms and who now claim to find it difficult to repay their debt, have come out criticising the newly introduced Agribank Drought Scheme. The farmers say the scheme does not address their needs as it does not acknowledge the precarious positions in which they have found themselves for almost a decade now.
