The Redforce Debt Management (RDM) company has donated 100-mobile phones worth N$20 000 to pensioners at Keetmanshoop. Keetmanshoop Mayor Gaudentia Kronhe said the phones will help pensioners be up to date with their monthly water bills. She reminded recipients to not sell off or give their mobile phones to grand-children so that they can use them for intended purposes. Kronhe said council statistics show that most pensioners are up to date with their water bills and the devices will help them maintain their good payment records. She called on those in arrears to make arrangements for payments with the municipality. Beneficiary Hilda Finch thanked the municipality and RDM for donating the devices that will help pensioners keep track of their municipal accounts. She called on fellow pensioners to pay their water bills and ensure that they have uninterrupted access to the most essential of commodities for daily survival.
