President Hage Geingob has advised the Windhoek City Council not to delay the implementation of a resolution to do away with informal settlements. Dr Geingob summoned the councillors to State House for a consultative meeting. Government took the decision to do away with shacks following the second National Land Conference held last year, calling it a humanitarian disaster.
