Langer Heinrich Uranium Mine Company says it is busy with the retrenchment process and the affected employees have already been issued with notice letters. Corporate and Community Relations Superintendent at the mine, Bernadette Bock says the package the company is prepared to offer is more than what is legally required. She also explained that the company was forced to declare a dispute after the union rejected its offer and that they will not withdraw the dispute as they are awaiting for the appointment of a conciliator. The offer made includes two months’ notice pay and one week severance pay.
