A group of three local companies with fishing rights and is in a joint venture with the controversial Icelandic fishing company Samherji, have not caught any fish since July last year, following a fallout with their international partners over a fishing vessel. The companies Sinco Fishing, Epango Fishing and Yukor were granted a quota totalling 27 000 metric tons of horse mackerel last year, but returned half of it to the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources.
