The Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC), Bérard Duprés, has said it is important to maintain journalistic credibility and ethics in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within newsrooms.
Duprés is among the heads of public broadcasters from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region attending a workshop underway in Johannesburg.
The training, organised by the Southern African Broadcasting Association (SABA), aims to equip journalists at state-owned broadcasters with the knowledge and skills to effectively and responsibly use AI tools in their reporting.
