During the State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Wednesday President Hage Geingob announced that a school renovation programme will commence in the second quarter of 2018. The president last year directed that dilapidated education facilities be renovated. He said the ‘Accelerated School Infrastructure Development Programme’, at a cost of N$1,3 billion Namibian Dollars, will also create job opportunities for young people.
