Seven Zimbabwean nationals were arrested on Sunday in an operation at Outjo after they were found to be residing in the country with no legal permissible documents. Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force in the Otjozondjupa Region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha told NAMPA on Monday the seven foreigners include five men and two women aged between 19 and 52 years. “They were arrested in a joint operation between the police and immigration officials at different residential areas in Outjo around midday on Sunday,” she said. They are expected to appear in the Outjo Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday on charges related to their illegal statuses, and then to be expelled from Namibia back to Zimbabwe once their deportation documents are completed, Mbeha said. Police investigations continue.
