Environment and Tourism Minister Pohamba Shifeta has set aside the Environmental Clearance Certificate awarded to Namibia Marine Phosphate on 5 September 2016, for offshore phosphate mining. Shifeta said Environmental Commissioner Theofilus Nghitila will notify the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources, the fishing industry and all other interested parties to finalise their inputs, and submit them within three months.
