Environment and Tourism Minister Pohamba Shifeta says the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) needs SADC more than it needs CITES. Shifeta made the remarks, in which he expressed disappointment over CITES’ recent decision to reject Namibia’s proposal to allow countries to trade in ivory.
