There is a need to strengthen the Global Alliance for Media and Gender to enable the alliance to become a strong voice for gender equality and women’s empowerment. Journalists, newsroom managers and gender advocacy institutions from Southern Africa have been meeting in Windhoek for a Gender and Media Summit.
