The Children of the Liberation Struggle are reportedly demanding a meeting with SWAPO Party Secretary-General, Nangolo Mbumba, to seek recourse regarding the eviction letter from Ndilimani Farm outside Windhoek. Group Chairperson, Tuhafeni Nhinda, told Nampa they want to respond to the letter handed to them on Monday, by a law firm on behalf of the party and Kalahari Holdings owned by the party. Nhinda stressed that they do not intend to ignore the eviction but are seeking a response from Mbumba on an alternative place to be relocated to. The about 470 struggle kids marched to the SWAPO Party Headquarters on Tuesday where they blocked the entrance to the premises and held staff hostage for about two hours. The letter from Conradie and Damaseb Legal Practitioners reads that apart from refusing to be relocated, the group further acted in a manner, which was completely deplorable. It accused the group of using the Plot to launch illegal activities. Nhinda said they want to follow procedures, but the party did not even inform them about the eviction. The group also claimed to have written a letter seeking an audience with Mbumba on the 11th of August, after which they were informed that he was out of office until next Monday. Nampa said its attempts to get a comment from Mbumba proved futile as his number remained unreachable.
