SWAPO Party will this year spearhead the commemoration of the ’12 May Movement’ – named in honour of Founding President Sam Nujoma’s birthday, The Party’s Secretary-General Nangolo Mbumba says there will be no festivities for ’12 May Movement’ commemoration this year, but the party will raise funds to complete the school and clinic for farm labourers, that the former President initiated at his farm, Etunda. Mbumba urged the business sector and individuals who want to contribute, to contact his office or that of John Nauta, Special Assistant to the Founding President. The 12 May Movement’ was established to celebrate ‘Dr Sam Nujoma’s legacy and heroic role he played in the liberation struggle of Namibia, as well as his outstanding leadership during his reign as first president.
